BUD - Rita Stanley, 59, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Raleigh General Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1942, at McComas, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Annie Stevens Beamon. Mrs. Stanley had been a resident of Bud for 16 years. She had been formerly employed by Wyoming General Hospital as a cook for 14 years. Survivors include her husband, Paris Stanley; two sisters, Betty Cook of Flint, Mich., and Mae Semonco and her husband, Joe, of Itmann; a brother, Larry Beamon and his wife, Pat, of Flint, Mich.; and a half brother, Paul Stevens and his wife, Pansey, of Tazewell, Va. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Ridge Cemetery, Bud. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joe Semonco, Amon Stanley, Allen Stanley, David Semonco, Lonnie Stout, and Roger Whitt. Arrangements by Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens.
