James H. King, former Superintendent of Police in Saratoga Springs and for the last 12 years Assistant Superintendent of the Saratoga Racing Association^ died yesterday in the Albany Hospital after a long illness. He was head of the police department from 1908 to 1919. In his younger days Mr. King was closely identified with racing, having served as trainer for Pierre Lorillard, Charles Reed and others. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna L. Rose King; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret K. Nolan of Elmhurst, L.I.; two sons, George J. King of New York and Attorney Carleton J. King. of Saratoga Springs and a sister, Mrs. Anna Lockwood of Mechanicville. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning from the residence, 126 Nelson Avenue, and later from St. Clement's Church. Interment will be in Greenridge
