WOODBURN — Leona Pelland, 89, died Thursday.
She was born in McKee and lived in St. Paul and Salem until moving to Woodburn in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge of Salem.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening and ballroom dancing. Her husband, Charles, whom she married in 1934, died in 1981.
Survivors include her daughters, Darlene Dryden of Woodburn and Rosella Harger of Salem; brother, Melvin Becker of Monroe; sister, Grace Williamson of Philomath; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salem. Interment will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in St. Paul. Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel. Contributions: American Diabetes Association, 380 SE Spokane St., Suite 100, Portland, OR 97202.
