Raymond James Wojtasek Jr.
(August 22, 1964 - February 3, 2013)

Raymond James Wojtasek Jr. - The love of our lives and hero passed away February 3, 2013 after a six year valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He peacefully passed like he wanted, holding hands with his wife and two oldest daughters.

Ray was born August 22, 1964 in Denver, Colorado to Raymond James Wojtasek Sr. and Catherine Graces Wojtasek. He became "Boomer" to many after his Grandma Graves nicknamed him.

Ray grew up in Orem, Utah. He graduated from Orem High in 1983. Ray left a wake of kindness wherever he went. He made friends easily and kept them for life.

He married Jody Cahoon, later divorced. Their union brought two beautiful daughters, Tory and Sarah. He married Sheri Shreve on April 12, 2001. They had one angel son Logan and two beautiful daughters, Courtney and Cami.

He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a beautiful testimony. Ray leaves an example of strength and courage to all.

His wife, Sheri, never left his side. She was the one to keep him on track, follow doctor's orders, take him where he needed to go, and just "hold his hand." It is all he told Sheri he needed.

Ray is survived by his wife Sheri, daughters Courtney and Camille, Woods Cross, daughters Tory and Sarah, Bountiful, parents Ray and Cathie, North Ogden, siblings: Christine Benevento, Rob, Ron and Cheryl Wojtasek, SLC, Carrie (Jerry) Zmyslo, Sandy; many in-laws; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by infant son Logan, grandparents John and Ahleane Wojtasek, Agnes and Vincent Graves.

The family wants to express their gratitude and love to Dr. Mark Ott, Dr. Steven Scott, Lani, Karen, Dr. VandeMerwe and the Utah Cancer Specialties, Dr. Whisenant and Dr. MacPherson who provided extraordinary care, love and compassion! You were our DREAM TEAM!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Woods Cross 1st Ward Chapel, 2064 S. 800 W.
