Brenda Sue Cross Hicks, 54, a lifelong resident of Old Fort, TN, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at the family residence. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eugene Cross and Bertha Lee Lawson Cross; brother, Robert Killian and sister, Carolyn Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Taylor Hicks of Old Fort; step-mother, Annie Jean Cross of Old Fort; three children: Angel Breedlove of Old Fort, Charles Beavers of Cleveland and Gina Lawrence of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Kayla Carroll, Zachary Nichols, Taylor Callahan, Brandy Willis, Gabby Breedlove and Meranda Pointer; two great-grandchildren: Zoey Bowers and Cadance Pointer; two sisters: Joyce Bishop of Charleston and Buffy Dixon of Cleveland; best friend, Wanda Neely of Birchwood; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery with Zachary Nichols, Tanner Dixon, Tyler Dixon, Donnie Breedlove, Logan Breedlove, Dennis Ellis and Richard Dixon serving as pallbearers and Zachary Nichols serving as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
