He was born to James and Lillie Bozeman. He passed away after a brief battle with cancer.
He served honorably in the US Army, 1961-64. He joined the SFD in 1966 and retired in 1999 as Assistant Chief. He also worked for James T. Gentry Trucking.
Mr. Bozeman was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arthur, Tommy, Dixie, James, and Lavone Bozeman, and sister, Claudine McCauley.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Bozeman; sons, Andy and Matt Bozeman; daughter, Kristin Broadway and husband, Arden; grandchildren, Chelsea, Taylor and Josh; sisters, Estelle Helton and Alpha Anderson; brothers, Frank, Huey, Ronny and a host of friends.
Jerry was loved by all who knew him. His patience and leadership, along with an occasional practical joke, left its legacy within the SFD.
