Springfield, IL -- Clara S. Reim, 88, of Springfield, Ill., formerly of Topeka, died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 1992 at her home. She had been a resident of Springfield most of her life. Mrs. Reim was secretary to the fire chief in Topeka for many years before she retired.
She was born Oct. 29, 1903, in Virden, Ill., the daughter of George and Mary Zock Strebel. Mrs. Reim was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Daughters of Isabella.
She married Joseph Eugene Reim in on Dec. 6, 1941. He died in 1982. A son, Albert Reim died in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Maryann Reim of Springfield; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
