A native of Tennessee, Nancy married Oliver Hugh McDonald on Nov. 11, 1851 in Murray County, GA. They had three children--James Alexander (b. Sept. 5, 1852), William Harvey (b. Mar. 7, 1855) and Margaret Jane (b.Jan. 19, 1860). All three were born in Spring Place, Murray County, GA. They moved to Arkansas sometime between 1865-1870. She died on December 13, 1876 and was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
