Sad Death

Allen, the only daughter and child of Elias and Nettie Scott, died at her home opposite the City High School at half past three o'clock this morning in the eighth year of her age.

About three weeks ago she was taken sick with a severe case of dyptheria. She was supposed to be convalescent, and her death early this morning came like a thunderbolt to her parents.

The funeral will occur from the house at half past seven this evening. The services were performed at 5 o'clock by Rev. J. H. Barnard.

The death of little Alleen at age when she was most interesting to her parents and just as she was beginning to be a companion to her mother, is most sad. Mr. and Mrs. Scott have the sympathy of the community in their sorrow.
