Mrs. Margaret Allen Dansie, 69, 930 Oakley St., for many years active In Montana Mission Relief Society, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died at her residence Monday at 6:45 a.m. after a long illness. She was born Aug 7, 1882, in Joseph City, Ariz., a daughter of Patriarch William Coleman and Lovina Jane Smith Allen. Her parents were among the LDS pioneers who came to Utah in 1847. Her grandfather was Andrew Jackson Allen who left an extensive pioneer journal. Margaret spent her early life in Draper, Salt Lake, Utah. On Oct 16, 1901, she was married to Robert J. Dansle in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. Shortly after their marriage, the couple made their residence in Armstead, Montana, and participated In LDS Church activities in Dillon, Mont., 45 miles distant. For 28 years their home was "headquarters" for LDS Church officials who visited the mission. Mrs. Dansie each Tuesday traveled the 45 miles from Armstead to Dillon to preside over the LDS Mission Relief Society. She frequently contributed food and clothing to underprivileged families in the area of the Montana Mission. She moved with her husband to Wells. Nevada in 1943 and resided there until 1949, when she again made her home in Salt Lake City. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Verona) Lewis, Holladay and Miss Nina Jane (Peggy) Dansie. Salt Lake City; three sons. Allen S. Dansie, Jackson, Mont.; Lyston Dansie, Live Oak, Cal. and Major Dansie, Reno, Nevada; two sisters, Mrs. Adella Bateman, Draper and Mrs. Sherman D. (Eva) Rideout, Salt Lake City; two brothers. Earl S. Allen, Draper and Bert Allen, Price; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
