Fern I. Fuller, 89, of Geneseo, formerly of Erie, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Hammond Henry Hospital, Geneseo.
Services will be noon Saturday at the Gibson Funeral Home, Erie. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities or the Erie Baptist Church.
The former Fern I. Franks was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Portland Township, the daughter of William and Hazel Upton Franks. She married Robert Fuller on Feb. 23, 1936 in Sterling. He died on Oct. 25, 1973.
Fern was a member of the D.A.R., the Sharon Aid Society and the Erie Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Home Extension and the Erie Women's Club. She enjoyed doing, and was very talented at, needlework and crocheting. She also enjoyed reading and traveling, having traveled extensively both in the United States and abroad.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Sandra Fuller, Geneseo; granddaughters, Kimberly Fuller and Tamara Fuller; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Eleanor; sisters, Vera Hansen, Belvedere, Joyce Anderson, Monmouth, Ester Bartels, Erie, Fae Davis, Naples, Fla., and Lois Black, Hillsdale; a brother, Loren Franks, Erie; a special friend, Mary Brooks, Geneseo; and her special caregivers, Monicia Drinkall, Kay McDaniel, Kelly Nelson, Mary Ann Nelson, Mary Rawlings, Carolyn Shannon, Julie Weidner and Jessica Roberts. Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
