She was known as Little Marie when she was a child. Marie was my grandmother Alice McCorkle Coleman's first cousin. As an adult she lived in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She kept up with her many far-flung relatives through letter writing. Marie was a member of the U. D. C. and a member of the D. A. R. She joined the D.A.R. on Capt. Mrs. Fay Senyard
Word has been received by relatives that Mrs. Marie Chapman Senyard, 75, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died on December 13, 1972. She was the widow of Fay T. Senyard.
A native of Girard, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Oscar Chapman and the late Mrs J.W.Wynn.
She attended Louisiana Polytechnic Institute, George Peabody College for Teachers at Nashville, Tennessee, and later did graduate work at Arkansas A. & M. College. She was a retired teacher from the Pine Bluff school system. Mrs. Senyard was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of that city.
She leaves among other relatives, members of the Balfour family of Rayville and the McCorkle family of Athens, Georgia
