Marie passed away peacefully on Feb. 5, 2013 with her husband Doran by her side. She was born on Feb. 1, 1935 in Murray, UT to Alma O. and Frances Erekson.

Married to Duane Day with whom she had four children. Later divorced. Married to Doran Hiatt.

Survived by her husband, Doran; brother, John (Michelle) Erekson; sister, Penny (Kent) Walker; children, Rochelle (Max) Young, Reagan Day, Jeff (Kaylene) Day, Tricia Day; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

She attended Jordan High School and BYU. Marie retired from ZCMI at Cottonwood Mall. She loved to go shopping. She also loved her family and friends and always looked forward to family parties and holidays. She was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed being a temple worker. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother and daughter of her Heavenly Father and will be greatly missed. We love you until we meet again.

The family would like to thank the Abbington Manor and Mary Smith, mom's hospice nurse, for their loving care.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2012 at the Draper City Cemetery, 12450 South 900 East. A viewing prior to the graveside from 11:00-12:30 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT.
