Obituary: The Baltimore Sun December 29, 1916

Mrs. Amanda Boyd, widow of John E. Boyd, for many years a merchant here, died at 2:45 o'clock, yesterday afternoon at her home, 1916 West Baltimore street, after a lingering illness. She is survived by a son, Frederick E. Boyd, a daughter, Miss Cecilia B. Knell, a stepson, Dr. Harry Boyd and two sisters, Mrs. Cecilia Howser and Mrs. Eurieth Kelly all of Baltimore. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from her home. Services will be conducted by the Rev. C. H. Richardson, former pastor of Garrett Park Methodist Episcopal Church, and the Rev. J. W. H. Beale, present pastor. Burial will be in Loudon Park Cemetery.
