Margaret S. Ellis, age 80 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday February 5, 2013 after a long illness. Margaret was a loving mother, devoted wife and a cherished grandmother/ great grandmother. Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Ellis; daughters and sons in law, Theresa and Terry Allen, Vicki Foster and Charlie Blair; son and daughter in law, David and Teresa Ellis all of Maryville; brothers and sister in law, Russell and Dolly Shanks of California, Larry Shanks of Florida; special friend, Judy Rice. To her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Margaret was lovingly known as Granny. Along with being the glue of the Ellis family, Margaret worked in the Blount County Judicial System for over 25 years from service as a Blount County Deputy under L.B. Sutton to numerous positions in Blount County Sessions and Juvenile courts. There will not be a service at this time and the family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations are made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
