John Kopetsky, 68, of route 1, Two Rivers, died early today at the
farm home in Two Creeks.
He had been seriously ill for only a week.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Tisch
Mills at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. Burial will be in St. Mary's
cemetery there. The body is at the Klein & Stangel Inc. funeral
home, Two Rivers, and may be viewed there from 7 o'clock this
evening. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday
evening.
Born on his parents' farm in the town of Two Creeks in 1878,
the deceased was the son of John and Anna Mancel Kopetsky.
Following his schooling in the town he assisted his father on the
farm until 21 years of age when he went to Minnesota, remaining five
years.
While in Minnesota he married Mathilda Srnsky of Tabor, Minn at East
Grand Forks in 1903. The couple remained there until 1905 when they
returned to Mr. Kopetsky's former home in Two Creeks. They have
remained to operate the farm there ever since.
Mr. Kopetsky was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary's
church, Tisch Mills.
Surviving are the wife, fours sons, Frank and Stanley of Two Rivers,
Wenzel and Leo both of route 1, Two Rivers; one daughter, Mrs.
Norbert Kimmes of Two Rivers. There are 12 grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Wenzel Kopetsky of Two Rivers and
two sisters, Mrs. Mary Vaclavik of Two Rivers and Mrs. Fred
Hincheck of Mavie, Minn.
