Anna Bernice (Proctor) Hearn- 65 years, of Evanston, died on her birthday on Sunday, October 22, 1995, in the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston.

Daughter of the late Basil A. and Rita O. (née Poirier) Proctor. A wonderful cook and baker of delicious and popular cinnamon rolls, she loved music and had a fine singing voice.

A member of St. Francis de Sales Church, Lower River Inhabitants, and their CWL, she was the first vice-president and spiritual convener of the CWL when it was founded in 1964; Bernice went on to become president from 1966-1968. She was also an active member of the Riverdale Credit Union, as well as being active in other community activities.

Surviving are daughters, Carol (Mrs. Maurice McNamara) of Evanston; Wendy (Mrs. Leon Digout) of Halifax; sons, William (Shirley) of Dartmouth; Clement, Thomas (Sharon) of Evanston; Vernon (Terry) of Bible Hill; brother, Laughlin of Evanston; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert; a son, Thomas, in infancy; granddaughter, Laura; brothers, John and Clement.

A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, 25 Oct 1995, in St. Francis de Sales Church, Rev. Peter MacLeod officiating.
