Mrs. Mark was a 1940 graduate of Ten Broeck Academy in Franklinville, NY, & a 1945 graduate of E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing (ECMC). She was employed at the Olean General Hospital, the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home & did private duty nursing for several years. Jean's favorite activities were centered around the love she held for her family, friends & her church. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Franklinville, NY for over 50 years. She was a volunteer at the Blount Library of Franklinville, the Olean General Hospital, & delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. She was past President of the Franklinville Woman's Club, the Philomathic Club & volunteered at Franklinville Central School & its reading program.
Jean & her husband, Ron, loved to travel. She was an active supporter of high school sports, held season tickets to the Bonnie's Basketball games & she played golf. Jean touched many lives with her kindness & generosity. She loved being a hostess, taking care of her family & cooked many wonderful meals at her home for family & friends.
Surviving besides her husband, Ronald, of Franklinville are 2 sons Ronald (Dawn) Mark of Arcade, NY & Roger (Jodi) Mark of East Wenatchee, WA; 2 grandchildren, Natalie Mark & Jesse Mark; 4 great grandchildren; a sister D. June Eaton of Zephyrhills, FL & a nephew.
Funeral arrangements were made by Babbitt-Easton Funeral Home of Franklinville, NY. A memorial service was held at the Presbyterian Church in Franklinville, NY with Rev. Jason Cashing officiating. 89y
