APPLIN, Walter Robert, a resident of Wetumpka, AL; passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the age of 69. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Thelma Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Chappelle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mr. Applin is preceded in death by his sons, William Robert Applin, Walter Richard Applin, and his parents, Robert Real & Dorothy R. Eubanks Applin. He is survived by his wife, Anna Rowe Applin; daughters, Monica Applin (Jenny) Malsom, Shelly Jean Vore, Leisa Sisk Finley, Audrey Fulmer (Mike) Bryson, Allie Fulmer, siblings, Ellie Ray Applin, Betty Applin Peters, Reba Applin (Gene) Hatcher, Bonnie Applin (Mickey) Burdeshaw, Charles O'Neal Aplin, grandchildren, Lucy Applin Malsom, Carly Brooke Finley, Austin Blake Finley, Tyra Brynn Bryson, & Preston Bennett Bryson. Pallbearers will be Doug Applin, Kevin Tolliver, Bill Parker, Bill Shanks, Austin Finley, Reggie Chatmon, Mike Bryson, and Derrick Grooms. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home. Mr. Applin will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church.
