Obit: William Elmer Amos, a son of Mr. E. N. Amos, died Wednesday, October 3, 1888 at 7 p.m. He had been sick about eight weeks with typhoid fever. At the time of his death he was 24 years, 1 month, and 15 days old.

He was buried on last Friday at the Hendricks Cemetery, the funeral ceremonies being conducted by the Odd Fellows order, of which he was a member, and by Rev. Foster.

A very large concourse of friends turned out to pay the last sad tribute to the dead. Mr. Amos leaves a wife, and a daughter wife of Dr. Holmes of Hillisburg. He was well respected and beloved by all who knew him and to his sorrowing relatives and friends, the Crescent extends its heartfelt sympathy for them in this affliction.

The family through Mr. E.N.Amos, his father, tendered their sincere thanks to the order of Odd Fellows and their kind offices to them in their bereavement.
