He was a Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Korean War and was a retired detective lieutenant for the Burns Detective Agency at Morton's Frozen Food. He was a member of the Mormon Church and of V.F.W. Post 734.
Born in Bostwick, Neb., Dec. 25, 1914, he was the son of the late Charles Clete and Allie Philpot Bagley.
