Kenneth Barley was born June 26, 1914 in Hawk Point, Missouri, a son of Otho and Anna (Biesemeyer) Barley. He was married to Margaret (Schulte) Barley on October 23, 1937 and she survives in Ste. Genevieve.
Besides his wife his is survived by a son, Kenneth "Ken" Barley II and his wife, Pam, of Ste. Geneviebe; and a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Perry) Fairfax of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Mr. Barley grew up in the Hawk Point, Troy and Bowling Green, Missouri area and learned his first trade working as a barber with his father at the family barbershop. After marriage the Barleys resided in Jefferson City, Missouri where K. O. was employed as a guard at the Algoa Correctional Facility. The couple later moved to St. Louis where K. O. became a district sales manager for Internationl Harvester. It was this position that eventually brought K. O. and Margaret to Ste. Genevieve.
