Henry Alves

GILETT--Henry J. Alves, 72, former Town of Chase resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1990 at an out of town nursing home. He was born March 7, 1917 in the Town of Chase and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed at Nelson Plywood and Friday Canning Co., both of Gillett.

Mr. Alves was a member of the American Legion Post 74 of Oconto and the D.A.V. of Oconto Falls.

Survivors include one brother, Walter, Rt. 1, Pulaski; one sister, Agnes (Anthony) Pyrek, Sheboygan Falls; two nephews, Gary Pyrek, Portage; Tom Pyrek, Sheboygan Falls; one niece, Joyce (Lonnie) Genke, Gillett; three grand-nieces; one grand-nephew; aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

The funeral was held Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Paul Heyekes officiating
