OBITUARY
Reginald (Mac) McKay, 70, 646 Wilson St., Chippewa Falls, died Monday, October 14 at Sacred heart Hospital, Eau Claire. He was born October 9, 1915 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Florence (McGrath) and Robert F. McKay.
McKay was united in marriage to Doris Haley on June 29, 1938 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Cadott. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was superintendent of construction for Hoeppner-Bartlett, Eau Claire, for many years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. James Amundson of Brandon, Miss., and Sue Elstran of Chippewa Falls; one son, Robert McKay of Eau Claire; four sisters, Shirlie (Mrs. Dominic) Lessuzzo of Franklin Park, Ill., Margaret (Mrs. Louie) Havens of Santa Cruz, CA., Eileen Anderson of Chippewa Falls and Gene (Mrs. Norman) Willkom of Cadott; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tom; and one sister, Doris Olson.
A funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Notre Dame Church. Interment was in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. Friends called from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Horan Funeral Home where a Christian vigil service was held at 8 p.m.
