JULIA ANN BAXA
Julia Ann Baxa was born June 9, 1886 near Cuba, Kan., daughter of Joseph and Anna Havel Benyshek and died June 25,1970 at the Bates Rest Home in Republic at the age of 84 years and 16 days. She attended BB school near Cuba.
June 13, 1905, she married Joseph Charles Baxa. Six children were born to this union. They lived near Wayne for many years where they farmed and when they retired they lived in Munden She spent the last six years at Republic. She was a member of St. George Catholic church of Munden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Joseph and George, one great-grandson.
Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Mary Bergstrom and Mrs. Joe Klabzuba of Belleville, Mrs. Virgil Ellis of York, Neb.; one son, Ernest of Aurora, Neb.; one brother, Frank of Cuba; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards church in Belleville conducted by Father August Moeder. Interment was in St. Isidore cemetery.
