Angelo J. Starcevich Jr., 78, of 617 S. Main St. died at 6:59 a.m. Monday, March 21, 1994, at Farmington Country Manor.

Born Jan. 13, 1916, in Olmitz, Iowa, to Angelo and Sophia Butkovich Starcevich, he married Elizabeth Urbanc on Aug. 2, 1941, in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Alice Carrier of Canton, Sue Ellen LeRoy of Rock Island and Barbara Germann of Chatham; one son, Luke E. of Littleton, Colo.; one sister, Agnes Eberley of Farmington; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran.

He was a lineman for Central Illinois Light Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Farmington American Legion Post 140, Croation Fraternal Union 367 and the Racing Pigeon Club of Peoria. He was a Farmington councilman.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jim Nugent will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
