Mr. Henderson was born July 5, 1940, in Albany to Charles and Ruth Moen Henderson. He married Shirley Johnson on April 21, 1966, in Harrisburg.
He served in the Navy. He had lived in Lane County since 1954 and worked at the Camac and Bohemia mills.
He enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren and teaching them values. He also enjoyed cooking and dancing with his wife.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick of Harrisburg and Christopher of Portland; two step-parents, Dick Moen and Wilma Henderson; three brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
Burial in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
