Titanic Survivor.

Worked on the Titanic as a sailor.

During the sinking, Scarrott (who was in Lifeboat #14) saw a large amount of men (most likely from Third Class) rush the boat. He beat them back with an oar that he was holding before Fifth Officer Harold Lowe fired his gun along the side of the Titanic.

Went back with Officer Lowe to look for survivors after the sinking of the Titanic.

Testified at the British Enquiry.
