Thad is the son of Edson Bowers & Mabel Myrick. He married Eva MacIver who predeceased him. He retired from the U.S. Customs Service in North Troy in 1967.
He is survived by a son James Bowers; two daughters, Susan Carlson & Elizabeth McCuin; and a brother Rodney Chamberlain.
He was a member and deacon of the United Church of Christ, and a member of Island Pond Masonic Lodge No. 44.
