Having visited her grandparent's ranch in Somerset as a child, they decided to move back to the area. She was an avid reader, and was very pleased when the library came to her when they could no longer go there themselves.
She was preceded in death by her children Dirk and Janice.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Oliver William Bibby, and 3 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 at granddaughter Julie Hoyt's home in Carmichael.
Arrangements were made by Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home.
