Lois D. Gentle of Houlton, 84, died Feb. 11, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 1, 1928 at Littleton, the daughter of Newell and Fern (Ellis) Drake. Lois was a very active member of the Houlton Wesleyan Church. She loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Lois is survived by her son Larry McCarthy and his wife Tricia of New Limerick; her granddaughter Kelli Tidd , two great grandchildren Micah McCarthy and Abigail Lowrey all of Houlton; two brothers Donald Drake of CA, Paul Drake of Hampden; her sister Marion Henderson of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George "Bodie" Gentle, Jr., her son David McCarthy, and two sisters Leona Ledger and Virginia Pelletier. Spring interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
