Mrs. S. M. Cobb, a resident of this county for nearly fifty years, died Sunday at 4 o'clock at the residence of W. H. Fitzgerald. Aged 70 years. She was buried Sunday evening in the Public cemetery.
Sarah Margaret was actually born in Lincoln County, Georgia. Cobb County did not exist at that time. Her parents were married in Lincoln County in 1818. Her family moved to Yalobusha County in Mississippi about 1835 and were living there in 1840. Her mother died there in 1843. Sarah Margaret was listed with her father and brothers on the 1850 census in Yalobusha County in 1850.
