My husband's paternal grandfather, Ralph Eugene Anderson of 373 Pleasant St. died at the age of 80, in the Hermitage Nursing Home on January 20, 1967.
He was born in Leominster, a son of the late Robert and Marietta (Jones) Anderson. He lived in Worcester most of his life. He was a stationary engineer for Metropolitan Cleaners & Launderers Inc. for 22 years. He was a member of Park Congregational Church.
He left his widow, Dora B. (Crosby) Anderson; two sons, Everett R. Anderson of Cherry Valley and Earl L. Anderson of Auburn; two daughters, Rena B., wife of Alcide E. Lange of Worcester, and Esther L., wife of William W. Gibbs of Saugus Calif.; a sister, Miss Esther Anderson of Worcester. They have all since passed on except William W. Gibbs. He also left nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Ralph, as he had died before I met and later married his grandson, Norman.
