Louis Edward Milam, 64, of Arnoldsburg went home to be with the Lord Jan. 27, 2008.

Born at Bloomingrose, Boone County, he was a son of the late George Marshall and Myrtle Harrison Milam. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a founding member of the Victory Baptist Church at Grantsville, where he served on the church board. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a long time Christian witness in his community.

Surviving is his wife, Betty, and a son, Michael and his wife, Laura, of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Lucille Ferguson and her husband, Bob, of Elyria, Ohio, and Barbara Kay Milam of Bloomingrose, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Colby and Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, John Henry Milam.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Victory Baptist Church at Grantsville. The Rev. Mike Worf, the Rev. Alfred Hickman and the Rev. Charles McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Broomstick Cemetery at Five Forks, with Military graveside rites. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Victory Baptist Church and one hour prior to services Wednesday. Stump Funeral Home of Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
