He was born November 22, 1934 in Dallas County, Arkansas. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Camden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jud Harrison Barner and Katie Bradley-Barner; and brother, Jud Harrison Barner, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Patsy Young-Barner of Camden; daughter, Ronda Barner Smith of Camden; and granddaughter, Kaylee Noel Smith of Camden.
Memorial services will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Camden with Rev. Richard Foster officiating. Mr Barner was cremated and will be interred at Wheeler Cemetery at a
