Annie Pauline Brady, a resident of Cottonwood, went home to be with the Lord, Monday night, February 11, 2013. She was 77.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at New Harmony Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (Cottonwood) with the Rev. Doug Carr officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mrs. Brady was born October 14, 1935 in Dermott, Arkansas and lived most of her life in Drew County Arkansas. She was a resident of Cottonwood for the past several years. She was a retired writer, journalist and managing editor. She was a Christian and was a member of New Harmony Free Will Baptist Church of Cottonwood.

Mrs. Brady is preceded in death by her first husband of 17 years, George Allen Daugherty, her son, Anthony Allen Daugherty and daughter-in-law, Barbara Daugherty; 3 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and her parents, Reverend Paul and Annie Peacock Hoover who are all with her in heaven.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Tom Brady of Cottonwood; her children, Paul LaRon Daugherty and his wife, Shirley Vaughn Daugherty of Greenbrier, AR, Linda Louise Stroud and her husband, Michael Stroud of Birmingham, AL, Jeffery Olin Daugherty and his wife, Windy Daugherty of Dothan, AL, Randy Daugherty and his wife, Stephanie Daugherty of Birmingham, AL, Betty Gail Daugherty-Parker of Dothan, AL, William Dale ‘Baby Boy' Daugherty and his wife, Deborah Jo Daugherty of Central City, KY, Sonia Dianne Rodriguez and her husband, Alex Rodriguez of Dallas, TX; 35 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gay Nell Griffith and her husband, Joe Griffith of Monticello, AR; a brother, Larry Hoover and his wife, Jane Hoover of Greenbrier, AR; numerous nieces and nephews.
