Inez Booth Van Sickle "The Mitten Lady", longtime Grand Ledge resident, Inez Van Sickle, 100 passed away February 10, 2013 in her own home with family. In 1930 she married Harry Van Sickle a WWI Purple Heart veteran who died in 1969. Inez loved knitting and selling colorful mittens. She distributed her mittens all over Grand Ledge as well as donating many to needy children. She is survived by son, Lewis Van Sickle, daughter Mary Jane Van Remortel and Dorothy (Ame) Krueger, favorite niece Joan Booth Highland, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. The family would like to give a special thanks to all Inez's special friends and neighbors who enabled her to have her last years in her own home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the cause of your choice. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 PM at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
