In the 1930-1940's, Dollie worked for the Oregon State Insane Asylum in Salem, Oregon. She taught sewing to the inmates.

Dollie's brother, Carter T. was blessed with one son, William David Allingham, born 14 Dec 1892, in Halsey, Oregon. He was married to Lucile Allingham. They in turn had one daughter, Marjory. William was a high school teacher and taught in Portland, Washington County, and in Eugene. He died in Eugene, Lane, Oregon, 30 Jan 1973.
