MacArthur's invasion forces and was awarded the Purple Heart, Asiatic Pacific Medal with one Bronze Battle Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Lapel Button. He was retired from Simmon's Industries in 1999 after 40 years of employment. He married Marie Marshall, on May 17, 1952.
