Age 85, a life-long resident of Moon Township, passed away at home on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was born in Coraopolis on August 25, 1925 to the late William Carroll and Edna Ruth (Meanor) Forsythe. On Feb. 16, 2007, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Jean (Moore) Forsythe. Loving father of William N. Forsythe, Jr. of Robinson Twp. and Donald K. Forsythe (Sandra) of Germantown, MD; cherished grandfather of Michael J., Jeffrey B. (Cindy), Kevin D. and Scott B. (Christina) Forsythe; brother of Wayne (Annette) Forsythe of Burgettstown, and the late Mildred Hawk, Margaret Kruppa, Kathleen Worth, and Faye Forsythe. He was retired from United Airlines as an airfreight agent. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. Visitation Sunday 1-3, and 6-8 at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd., where service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery with Military Honors.
