Keith E. Burge, 69, of Bringhurst, died Wednesday, Feb 13, 2013, at 1:15 a.m. at his residence. He had been in failing health, and had battled a brief illness. He was born Oct 20, 1943, in Flora, to the late Leonard and Ruth Arbuckle Burge. His marriage was to Susan J. "Sue" Sheline, in Pittsburg, on August 16, 1969, and she survives. He attended school in Cutler. He was a Sgt., in the U.S. Army Special Forces, serving in Vietnam. He drove a semi for several carriers, for over 25 years. He volunteered at the Adams Mill for 10 years; and belonged to the Wildcat Guardians; the Wildcat Foundation, which helps with the Wildcat Creek water conservation and clean up. He also was a member of the Hoosier River Watch, loved any activity on the water, enjoyed being outdoors' in the woods. For a year, he ran the Channel 2 local TV Station in Flora. He was a member of the Carroll County Master Gardener's, past president 5 years. He enjoyed working on, and refurbishing bikes and motorcycles. He enjoyed building and flying RC model airplanes, and loved his dog "Gracie".

Surviving are his wife, Susan "Sue" Burge, of Bringhurst; sons, David and Coralie Burge, of Paris, France, and Nick L. Burge (financée: Ashlee McKenzie), of Lafayette; sisters, Karen and Larry Carter, of Doniphan, Mo., Dodie and Lee Howe, of Flora, and Bea and Andy Glass, of Heyworth, Ill.; brothers, Roger and Connie Burge, Tony Burge, and Rick and Kay Burge, all of Bringhurst; Dennis and Debbie Burge, of Delphi; three grandchildren, Eva and Claire, and Danielle.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until his funeral at 1 p.m., at Baker-Abbott Funeral Home, Flora; the Rev. Andy Glass officiating.

Burial at Musselman Cemetery-Camden, with Monticello American Legion Military Rites.
