Arlyle E. Harrison, 97, of Oostburg and formerly of Waldo, , died on Tuesday afternoon, February 12, 2013 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Arlyle was born on September 22, 1915 in the Town of Lyndon, the daughter of the late Paul and Mermel (Harmon) Buelke. Arlyle graduated from Waldo High school in 1933. She married Lawrence Harrison on May 24, 1941 in Waldo. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1984. Arlyle worked as a teller for the United States Postal Service prior to her retirement.

Arlyle was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, the Sheboygan County Historical Society, Sheboygan County Historical Research Center, Sheboygan County Knitting Club, and Kings Daughters. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, knitting, jig saw puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. Arlyle was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks fan.

Arlyle is survived by her daughter, Lois (Glenn) Daane of Oostburg.
Arlyle was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; one sister, Alyce (Victor) Schwandt; and two brothers, Harmon (Mary) and Norman (Beatrice) Buelke.

A funeral to celebrate Arlyle's life will take place at 6 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg, with the Rev. Brian Jacobson officiating. Burial will take place at Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima.
