Colleen was a wonderful, caring woman who loved her family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Colleen was a member Dean Road Free Will Baptist Church. She had formerly worked as a cook at Springmill Elementary School during her earlier years. Colleen enjoyed playing Bingo with her sisters, spending time in her flower garden, and showering her family with lots of love.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Bays of Grayson, KY; two sons, Fredrick (Ellen) Bays of Adario and Michael (Patricia) Bays of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Darrell (Kayla) Bays of Grayson, KY, Deeann (Robert) Wheatcraft of Galion, Julie Bays and Jeremy Bays, both of Adario; ten great-grandchildren, Kyle (Courtney), Brooklyn, Max, Elijah, Ezra, Eden, Emily, Brooklyn, Brianna and Bridgette; a brother, Carl Webb of Olive Hill, KY; six sisters, Lucille Wickes of New Port Richey, FL, Denise Arthurs and Nancy Shepard, both of Olive Hill, KY, Helen Rose, Naomi (Clifton) Crum, both of Mansfield and Atonya (Bruce) Jessee of Soldier, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick H. Bays; daughter, Angela Bays; grandson, Gregory Bays; brother, James Wilburn; and four sisters, Shelby Vasquez, Linda Vasquez, Jewel Webb and Charlotte Ann Webb.
A private graveside service conducted by Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett was held in her honor in Mansfield Memorial Park. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mrs. Bays.
