Agnes Lindberg, cherished mother, much loved wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother died at age 96 on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. John Golv and Rev. Ale Tulu officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Friday at the church.

Agnes Juliette Lindberg was born September 11, 1916 in Thief River Falls the daughter of Carl and Eline (Revdahl) Haug. She grew up in Thief River Falls and attended school there, graduating from Lincoln High School.

She met and married Merle Lindberg on June 21, 1938 in Thief River Falls. Together they made their home in Thief River Falls where they lived their entire lives.

Agnes was known by her family as a cookie-maker extraordinaire, as she loved baking and preparing meals for her family whom she dearly loved, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her church family at Zion Lutheran Church was also very important to her. She spent many hours there teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, attending Ladies Aid, and helping out wherever she could. Agnes enjoyed many different kinds of crafts such as Cross-stich, quilling, quilting and hardanger. She was an active member in her bridge club.

Survivors include her children Gail Walsh and Tom (Bonnie) Lindberg; grandchildren Greg Walsh, Julie (David) Benbow and Jeff (Amy) Walsh; 6 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Merle in 1994 and by an infant daughter; brothers Reuben, Ed and Clarence Haug; and sister Edna Nichols.
