Sheila A. Maertz Duellman, age 48, a lifelong Manitowoc resident, died peacefully Wednesday evening, February 13, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on March 17, 1964 in Manitowoc, daughter of Raul and Karen (Najmeyer) Maertz. Sheila was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1982. On September 21, 1991 she married Dean Duellman at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Sheila loved life, bowling, playing cards, family and friends and always had a smile on her face. She was employed at Kaysun Corporation.

Survivors include a daughter: Kamber Duellman, Manitowoc; her parents: Raul & Karen Maertz, Manitowoc; a brother and sister-in-law: Mark & Karen Maertz, Two Rivers; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Lisa Maertz & special friend Dawn Kaufmann, Amy & James Peterman, Jodi Mattie & fiancé Aaron Novak, all of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews: Brittany, Amber, Katlyn, Emmah, Evann, Jamison, Samantha; special friend: Keith Petersen and his son Adam Petersen; close friend and father of Kamber: Dean Duellman; and her loving cousin: Sharon Barbeau and her husband, Dave. Many aunts, uncles, other relatives and good friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. led by Chaplain John Vincent. Friends may also call Tuesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
