Miss Jean Weaver, Age 22 Years, Is Taken By Death - Local Girl, Graduate of University Of Illinois, Dies In Arkansas

Miss Dorothy Jean Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William W. Weaver, 701 Fayette Avenue, died at 5 A.M. Monday at Hot Springs, Ark. where she and her parents had been staying for the last month. She was 22 years old. Death followed an illness of three months. Miss Weaver was a graduate of Springfield High School in the class of 1932 and of the University of Illinois last June. She was born at Danville, coming to Springfield with her parents fourteen years ago. Her father is vice president and treasurer of the Yelton-Weaver Supply Co. Besides her parents she is survived by two brothers, William and Max, and a sister, Mary, all of this city.

Remains arrived in Springfield at 2 A.M. today and were taken to the Thomas C. Smith Sons Chapel where funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday. Rev. John L. Thomas will officiate and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Contr. by Linda Weaver (#48063409)
