Kenneth Warren Banks, 67, of Santa Fe, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Santa Fe.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with Rosey Rosenquist officiating. A burial will immediately follow the service at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday Feb. 18, 2013 also at Emken Linton Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on Feb. 6, 1946 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was raised and lived in Waukesha, starting work at the age of 18 years as a Bearing Designer for Waukesha Bearing where he worked for 23 years until he moved to Houston, TX in 1985. There he met and married his wife, Debbie, on June 5, 1999. Kenneth also worked for 13 years for TEC and 14 years at Turbo Care. He was presently employed at Osborne Engineering Limited as their General Manager.

Ken loved bowling and bowled on several leagues. He also loved working on old cars and restoring them to their former beauty. He built many model cars, planes, railroads and even whole towns. Ken and his wife even built their own house all by themselves. He could build and fix anything. Ken loved watching Nascar races and the Green Bay Packers play football, as well as wearing his cowboy boots and listening to Johnny Cash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Elsworth and Esther Dorothea (Stephens) Banks.

He is survived by his living wife of 14 years, Debra Ruth Banks; son Daniel Warren Banks; 2 stepsons Kevin Beetz and life partner Jared Bennett and Kyle Beetz; step-daughter Kimberly Beetz; 3 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Kevin Beetz, Kyle Beetz, Jared Bennett, Richard Ketchum, Dale Fife and Phillip Cotharn.
