To Whom it may concern I am with the Adair County Historical Society and I am submitting to this obituary.
Fisher Abbott was born August 19, 1911 to Carmi George Abbott and Margaret Key Abbott in Cairo, Illinois and went to be wit the Lord November 29, 2003 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell at the age of 92 years, three months and ten days.
He was married to Mavis Louanna Davenport on March 17, 1934, in Stilwell, OK. Their marriage lasted over 50 years until Mavis' death on October 30, 1990. Fisher worked in timber most of his life. After his retirement he enjoyed gardening and visiting with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mavis, one daughter, Louella Bell; four brothers, Jack, James Robert and Ted; two sisters, Roxie and Etta and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Abbott of Sacramento, Calif, and Clinton Gerald "Jerry" Abbott of Vicksburg, MS; two sisters, Sarah Edmonds of Doniphan, MO and Peggy Lomen of Herlong, Calif. several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at the Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Lawrence Eagle officiating. Interment will follow at the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
