Pvt 323261 Alexander F. Adare Served in the Canadian Field Artillery 67th Field Batty. CEF during WW1 of 1914-18. Born in Toronto Ontario in 1888 he worked most of his adult life as an contractor in the sand & gravel business. He was drafted into the Canadian Army in Nov. of 1917 and called to duty on March 6th 1918. He took ill almost immediately after entering the service and three weeks later he died at the Newmarket military hospital on March 30th 1918 at the age of 29. He was buried with full military honors in the Toronto Necropolis Cemetery. His name appears on page 357 of the 1918 Canadian war book of remembrance (See attached copy of that page)
