MARION: Helen L. Alexander, age 90, of Marion, died peacefully Friday, February 15, 2013 at her son's home.
Helen was born on October 9, 1922 to the late Elza and Irene (Hughes) Walter in Fostoria, OH.
Helen married James W. Alexander on December 24, 1944; he preceded her in death on November 12, 2011.
She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Chruch, enjoyed planting flowers, and gardening.
Helen is survived by three sons, James Elsworth (Leslie) Alexander of Sandusky, Jon Kevin (Connie) Alexander of Marion, and Joel Walter Alexander of Marion; eight grandchildren, Josh Alexander, Lacey Alexander, Tyler Alexander, Jeanelle Alexander, Ronnie Napper, Rona Jones, Emily Mingus, and Hannah Mingus; four great-grandchildren, Chesney Alexander, Reise Thomas, Bronson Alexander, and Benjaman Thomas; sister, Jean (Charles) Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Robert, Richard, Donald "Bud," William, and Dale; sisters, Margaret Heller, Muriel Jones, and infant, Catherine Walter; two grandchildren, Jason Alexander and Alisha Caskey; and two great-grandchildren Brandolyn and Melinda Alexander.
The Alexander family will receive friends Monday, February 18, 2013 from 5PM until 8PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors where services will be held 10:30AM Tuesday, February 18, 2013 with Pastor Doug Ford officiating.
